The University of New Mexico, School of Medicine, Department of Emergency Medicine, is seeking full-time Lecturers with Advanced Placement Providers credentials. This position will primarily work clinically at the Sandoval Regional Medical Center (SRMC) Emergency Rooms. This position, may also have the opportunity to work clinically at University of New Mexico Hospital (UNMH). Sandoval Regional Medical Center opened in 2012 and is currently a developing Trauma Level III center with 60 acute care beds. The Emergency Room currently has 13 beds which includes two trauma rooms and sees approximately twenty thousand patients a year. In addition, SRMC is a part of the UNM Health System.
The Department of Emergency Medicine has 72 full-time and part-time attending physicians, and is home to an outstanding EM Residency, EMS Academy and Center for Disaster Medicine. UNM Health System is New Mexico's only Level I Trauma Center, UNM Children’s Hospital, home to the only Burn Center, and the state's first Comprehensive Stroke Center. UNM Health System providers specialize in over 150 areas and receive 900,000 outpatient visits, 22,000 surgical cases and 100,000 emergency room visits each year. - Board Certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
- State of New Mexico Medical PA/NP license or ability to obtain NM License and NM DEA at time of hire.
