The Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. The primary appointment would be in the Department of Anesthesiology & Critical Care Medicine. Specifically, the Department is recruiting an Anesthesiologist with either expertise or fellowship training in Neuro Anesthesiology. It is common to staff complex neurosurgical cases including tumor, vascular, interventional, complex spine and functional neurosurgery. The position will train anesthesiology residents and teach medical students. Additionally, the position will collaborate in clinical research endeavors and comfort working in a care team model.
The University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center (UNM HSC) is a tertiary referral center and the only Level 1 Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center for the state of New Mexico - an ethnically and medically diverse population. The University is rapidly expanding in the fields of advanced neurology and neurosurgical care and is seeking to build upon existing expertise.

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Must hold unrestricted medical license
2. Must have a M.D. or equivalent degree
3. Must be Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology or within three years of residency and active in the certification process
4. Ability to work clinical call coverage
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Resident teaching experience
2. Completion of Neuro Anesthesia Fellowship
