The University of New Mexico, School of Medicine and Health Sciences Center is seeking a candidate that will contribute actively to the climate of diversity & inclusivity. We invite applications for a faculty position in the Division of Urogynecology/ This is an open rank, open track full-time faculty position in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. UNM's Urogynecology Division has an established fellowship, has a busy clinical practice, and is active in research and education.
The successful incumbent they will be involved with clinical teaching and clinical research at clinics on and off campus. The Division is host of an accredited Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship, with a primary objective to train well-rounded, subspecialist physicians who are experts in surgical anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology of the pelvic floor. With the guidance and collective experience of our faculty, fellows develop teaching and research expertise in pelvic floor disorders to assist in the development of successful and productive academic careers. The Division of Urogynecology is also home of a dedicated pessary clinic focused on the care of women with prolapse and incontinence who prefer non-surgical treatment of their pelvic floor dysfunction. Additionally, the Division of Urogynecology also welcomes creative research opportunities with a team of research coordinators to aid in these adventures. To fulfill this position we are seeking a highly motivated, well trained, academic focused physician. The incumbent hired will be expected to participate in the education and surgical training of medical students, residents and fellows in the clinic, classroom, and operating room, and will provide additional surgical opportunities for training residents and fellows. Qualifications | Minimum Qualifications:
- Eligible to work in the United States
- MD. or D.O. degree or equivalent
- Board certified or eligible by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Completion of a Fellowship or advanced training in FPMRS
- Eligible for medical licensure in NM, State of New Mexico Board of Pharmacy certification, and federal DEA registration

- Experience teaching students and residents
- Clinical skills and scholarly activity
- Experience working within a managed care environment
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary environment
- Experience or interest in research activity and career development
