Position SummaryThe University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center seeks a faculty member to join the
Division of Cardiology.  This position is Open rank and Open track. The successful candidate will provide excellent patient care and, as a member of New Mexico’s only academic medical center, will actively participate in research and fellow education.  Salary and rank will be commensurate with experience and education.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Board certified/board eligible in Cardiovascular Disease by date of hire
  • Board certification/board eligible in Echocardiography
  • Eligible to work in US
  • Level 2 certification in cardiac MRI and cardiac CT

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Leadership skills in coordinating in-patient and out-patient care
  • Experience/interest with broad spectrum of cardiovascular disease
  • Training and/or experience in diagnosis and management of advanced heart failure and advanced heart failure therapies
  • Teaching experience at all levels of training
  • Experience/interest in scholarly pursuits and mentorship of trainees within the field of cardiology
  • A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities
