The Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) within the Department of Internal Medicine is seeking a full-time candidate who is a detail-oriented, results driven individual to join our team as a HS Research Tech 2.
In general, the ideal candidate for the CTU HS Research Tech 2 position will perform standard research protocol, under detailed and controlled research parameters, in a health sciences laboratory, clinical, and/or field research setting. The candidate will conduct a variety of standardized tests and procedures; prepare data, samples, and/or specimens, and set up and operates standard laboratory, clinical, or field testing, equipment of standard complexity. The candidate will verify and record data and perform preliminary manipulation of experiment and/or test results, providing basic data analyses, summaries, and interpretations. This candidate will also have a firm understanding of good clinical practices in conducting research strong interpersonal and communication skill and the ability to work effectively with a variety of university and community stakeholders. Depending on the study, these stakeholders may include: health care providers, funding agencies, university researchers, and media representatives.

High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
