The Division of Cardiology, within the Department of Internal Medicine, under the direction of the Cardiology Faculty, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant provider for the outpatient clinic. The individual will closely interface with other specialty services managing patients in the Cardiology Clinic under the supervision of the Clinic Medical Director. The individual will have direct involvement with specialty cardiology patient care including his/her own clinic panel. This will include patient calls, callbacks, clinic appointment requests, coordinating scheduling, ordering labs, follow-up of labs, and other diagnostic tests. The individual will ensure adherence to established policies and procedures, regulation, and standards. The individual will provide direct patient care, evaluation, consultations, and coordinate services with other patient care providers.

Bachelor's degree; no previous experience required. Certification/Licensure Eligible for New Mexico certification as a Physician's Assistant OR State of New Mexico Certified Nurse Practitioner or certification pending, as documented by temporary certificate.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
