Position Summary

The Anderson School of Management’s Corporate and Community Engagement (CCE) at the University of New Mexico anticipates hiring Adjunct Faculty to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in the Intercession 2024, Spring 2025 and/or Summer 2025 semesters.

Departmental needs at this time may be best served by the hiring of temporary part-time faculty whose specialties are in the areas of entrepreneurship, startup development, and various business topics courses within undergraduate and graduate programs.

The Anderson School of Management is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International and is one of the few programs in the world to attain both an Accounting and Business Accreditation from AACSB. We offer BBA and MBA degrees in 12 concentrations, as well as a Master of Accounting (MACCT), an Executive MBA for working professionals, an MBA in Education Leadership, a Master’s of Science in Cyber Security and Business Analytics, and a Master’s of Science in Project Management. Positions are contingent upon need each semester as determined by student enrollment levels, current course offering matrix, and demand driven by graduation requirements. Positions may be filled or eliminated each semester up to the deadline for students to drop or add courses. Candidates who are selected for these positions will report to the Department Chair.

Wages

Adjunct Faculty at Anderson School of Management are currently compensated on the basis of their credentials and credit hour course loads. The typical pay rate for new Adjunct Faculty ranges between $4,379.55 - $6,256.49 per 3-credit hour course. For courses with less than 3 credit hours, the respective rates will be pro-rated based on the credentials and experience of the candidate.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must meet instructor degree, certification, licensure requirements, other defined criteria related to course content; OR have successful teaching experience in a post-secondary institution or community college.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree or Ph.D. in relevant field
  • Experience/expertise in related field evidenced in cover letter and resume
  • A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities.
