The Department of Family and Community Medicine is seeking a professional, customer service focused individual to serve the Chair of the department. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Department Chairperson in managing and overseeing the day-to-day activities to include over 80+ faculty, 45 residents and approximately 50 staff members. Under direct supervision, the individual will coordinate, oversee, and/or perform a wide variety of administrative, customer service, and program support activities on behalf of the Chair and Executive Committee of the Department of Family & Community Medicine.
Duties include:
Serve as primary point of operational and administrative contact for internal and external constituencies, often on complex and confidential issues.
Create travel documentation, arrange travel and reimbursements
Coordinate the provision of office and staff support services to the office, and oversees and/or participates in the coordination, supervision, and completion of special projects and/or events.
May serve on a variety of committees in a support capacity.
May assist with promotional materials, and/or program implementation, administration, and reporting.
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
