Requisition ID req31502
Working Title Sr Program Manager
Position Grade 14
Position Summary

The College of Education and Human Sciences (COEHS) Office of Research Engagement (ORE) seeks applicants for a Sr. Program Manager to support contract and grant post-award oversight, coordination, and administration.  This position will join the College’s research team, under the leadership of the Associate Dean for Research and Distance Education, to provide support to and management of the numerous research projects across the COEHS.  The Sr. Program Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for all post-award coordination and will oversee and manage the day-to-day operational activities of post-award support in the college including fiscal, personnel, and administrative tasks.

The COEHS has in excess of 22 million in contract and grant funding via numerous awards which vary in size and scope.  This position would provide general administrative oversight, supervision and personnel oversight, and fiscal oversight and budget management across all awards.  For those awards which do not have identified post-award staff included, the ORE provides direct assistance.  This position would supervise ORE staff as well as manage the completion of ORE tasks such as event planning and coordination, purchasing and fiscal transactions, faculty and staff personnel processes, financial reporting, training of grant staff, and other support to externally-funded projects and faculty PIs.  A successful applicant for this position would need to understand the world of contracts and grants, as well as UNM fiscal and HR processes and policies – strong management, administrative, and accounting skills will be needed.
