The Department of Internal Medicine - Administration is seeking to hire an Admin Assistant 2. This opportunity is for an organized, detail oriented individual who can work effectively and independently in a multi-task environment. Our team consists of an extremely large and diverse group of staff who are highly energetic and dedicated to the success of our department. This position requires an individual who possesses superb communication skills, reliability, and the ability to handle a high level of interaction amongst several entities, both internal and external to the University.
The successful candidate will serve as the main point of contact for the department and will be responsible for relaying and resolving routine telephone and/or walk-up inquiries, coordinating meetings, performing data entry, and establishing and maintaining records. The position will also manage the front desk operations to include mail distribution/mailbox maintenance, Master Directory data entry and maintenance, as well as managing staff badges and package deliveries. Additional duties and responsibilities include supervising student employees, lead for departmental event planning and special projects as assigned.

High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
