Description:The University of New Mexico Department of Neurosurgery is seeking a highly motivated clinical Research Coordinator to join our team.
The Department of Neurosurgery runs a variety of clinical research studies that include externally sponsored studies, clinical trials, investigator-initiated studies, pilot studies, instrumentation studies, drug studies, registries and departmentally mandated data bases.
This position involves a large amount of paperwork revolving around the Internal Review Board (IRB) applications and renewals, data entry for study databases, and pre-award applications.
The following details a list of many of the roles and responsibilities the successful candidate will work on:
The successful candidate will be required to cover the pager for 24 hours including being on call on the weekends and holidays, all of which will be shared between the two clinical research coordinators; the research manager may act as a back-up as needed.

Bachelor's degree; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
