Position Summary

UNM – Taos seeks a change oriented accounting professional to perform advanced, multifaceted accounting and execute related functions in such areas as ledger maintenance and analysis, cost and/or financial analysis, fund reconciliation, posting, and inventory control, and analyze complex financial and operating data. Developing new management reports, financial statements, and projections to enhance organizational financial accountability is an exciting opportunity to lead change. Successful candidate will participate in Capital budget management creation and the financial management of strategic construction projects. Additional, this role participates in the  management and sourcing of funding grants.

Conditions of Employment
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and successful completion of at least 12 credit hours of university-level accounting through intermediate accounting; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  1. Experience with UNM financial systems including; Banner, Chrome River, Loboweb, MyReports
  2. CPA
  3. Experience with State funding
  4. Proficient in MS Excel to analyze/interpret financial data and prepare financial reports
