The University of New Mexico, Center on Alcohol, Substance use and Addictions (CASAA) Integrative Management of chronic Pain and Opioid use disorder for Whole Recovery (IMPOWR) Center is seeking a Research Coordinator. In 2021, CASAA was one of four research centers nationally to be awarded the NIH HEAL Initiative: Integrative Management of Chronic Pain and Opioid Use Disorder (IMPOWR) grant. The UNM CASAA IMPOWR Center takes an integrated and holistic approach to improving the lives of patients with chronic pain and opioid use disorder via tailored intervention approaches to meet the needs of diverse individuals in diverse communities.
Coordinates and administers a funded research study/activity or group of associated activities. Assists in project planning, and ensures that pre-established work scope, study protocol, and regulatory requirements are followed. Establishes and maintains budgets and fiscal controls for the project and assists in the development of grant proposals. Recruits and coordinates research subjects, as appropriate, and serves as principle administrative liaison for the project. Oversees and coordinates the provision of administrative and staff services to investigators; develops and maintains recordkeeping systems and procedures.

Bachelor's degree; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

-Excellent communication skills-Demonstrated experience with attention to detail, high level of organizational and coordination skills-Willingness to support a diverse group of clinical and managerial staff and clinical community partners-Ability to work effectively with a team of administrative and research staff-Experience working in a related field serving diverse and challenging clients-Ability to be flexible while staying professional and positive in a changing environment.
