The Office for Community Health at the University of New Mexico’s Health Sciences Center is currently hiring a Program Manager to join a team of peer healthcare workers, including Social Workers and Community Health Workers, and provide rapid resource referrals and community connector/navigator services to high-need guests at the Gateway Receiving Area located on 5400 Gibson Blvd SE, a grant-funded collaboration between the City of Albuquerque and UNM HSC’s Office of Community Health. You will help plan, deliver, supervise, and staff the 18/7 services at the short-term Community Connector services site. We are seeking a compassionate, collaborative individual with strong organizational, supervisory and communication skills with the ability to problem-solve efficiently, independently and as part of a team as is required and appropriate. Because the program is new and innovative, you will help us create the model, applying your community health program management perspective, skills and experience.
Under indirect supervision and in collaboration with program director/Strategic Support Manager, oversees fiscal, operational, administrative, and human resources management of the program(s). Works closely with social workers, public health workers, other community health workers, professional students, and social services agencies to staff operations in order to provide short term care coordination and connection to resources that support program clients to improve their health and general well-being. This position will engage with at-risk populations with complex psycho-social histories using trauma informed and harm reduction practices. Assists Director in seeking and developing outside funding sources and shares responsibility of the appropriate use of programmatic funds within the parameters of the contract(s)/grant(s), up to approximately $1.5 million per fiscal year. Serves as point of representation and liaison with external constituencies on the local and state level on operational matters, and provides day-to-day technical/professional guidance and leadership as appropriate.

High school diploma or GED; at least 6 years of experience 2 of which are management level experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
