The University of New Mexico, Office of the University Controller, also known as Financial Services, located on Main Campus is responsible for all central accounting functions for the University. It is the responsibility of the Controller's Office aka Financial Services to ensure compliance with all financial policies, rules, and regulations adopted by the University or imposed by external agencies, including state and federal audit requirements, following generally accepted accounting practices. Additionally, the Controller's Office oversees the maintenance of the official financial records of the University. Within Financial Services is the Mailing, Shipping & Receiving department which is the mail and package processing facility for the University of New Mexico. The department is seeking a hardworking, dependable individual to join the team as a Postal Tech, which receives, sorts, and delivers USPS, UPS, FedEx, and campus mail daily. What We're Looking for! The position requires strenuous physical activity such as; stair climbing, heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects up to 100 pounds for extended periods of time (see working conditions and physical effort in the job description section). The person in this position may operate computerized postage metering and weighing equipment and may be required to work occasional evenings and/or weekends based on the needs of the department. This position is on-site, M-F, 7:30am - 4:30pm.
Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications.
