Position Summary


UNM Neurology seeks a .25 FTE Neuro-Psychologist to join our Movement Disorder Team.  The position will be part of a team of faculty providing quality patient care in the outpatient setting at the Comprehensive Movement Disorder Center (CMDC).

Clinical responsibilities include the following:

  • Perform neuro-psychological evaluations and interventions for Movement Disorder patients.
  •  Precept a neuro-psychology trainee

Non-clinical responsibilities include the following:

  • Participate in research activities involving neuro imaging, cognitive assessment, and outreach activities

UNM Hospital is the tertiary care center for the State and the only NAEC level 4 epilepsy center, and ALS / MDA center and comprehensive movement disorder center in the State.  The UNM Neurology Department has 30 plus full-time and part-time attending physicians and is home to well-established Residency and multiple Fellowship programs.

About Albuquerque, New Mexico

Qualifications

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • PhD in Clinical Psychology
  • Completion of a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Neuropsychology
  • Clinical experience in neurodegenerative disease
  • Board certified/eligible in Clinical Neuropsychology
  • Eligible for Medical license in the state of New Mexico
  •  Eligible to work in the U.S.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience as a Clinical Neuropsychologist
  • Participation in neurodegenerative disease research
  • A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities
