The Department of Psychology is seeking a motivated, self-directed candidate with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to join our high performing-dynamic team as an Administrative Assistant 3. This position is the first point of contact for the department and is a critical part of the department’s engagement. The individual selected for this position will provide administrative support for our faculty, staff, and students in a dynamic environment and must be comfortable responding to a variety of administrative and academic issues. The candidate must be flexible and adaptive to a variety of customers, and responsive to needs of all visitors. The ideal candidate for this position demonstrates attention to detail, comfortable asking questions and exploring answers, works well independently and in a team, as well as takes pride in the quality of their work. Duties will include participation in hiring student employees. Help manage the operations of the AV/Copy room. Supervises the AV/Copy room students, copy user code reporting, office supplies inventory, planning departmental events. Lead point of contact for issuing keys, subject parking and assisting with Prox card access, building maintenance and data entry. Managing department physical mail and email and listserve(s) and assisting with special projects to support the department administrator and Chair, as needed.

High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
