Position Summary |
The UNM-Valencia campus is accepting
applications for the position of Supv, Student Success (TRiO Upward Bound). This is a grant-funded position that ends 08/31/2025 and will be renewed
annually based on availability of federal funding. This role oversees the full
administration and coordination of the TRiO Upward Bound project, including
financial and administrative management, personnel supervision, and the
integration of services with other college initiatives. Responsibilities also include
coordinating student intake and referrals, promoting staff development,
managing evaluation efforts, preparing internal and external reports, and
serving as the project’s representative in various forums. The Supervisor will
oversee student records, data collection, reporting, budgeting, and all TRiO
service coordination.
This position provides wraparound services to support student success,
including academic coaching/advising for high school students, financial aid
guidance, academic success workshops, tutoring, and resource referrals. The
Supervisor serves as a student advocate, working closely with faculty and staff
to address student needs, track student progress, and ensure compliance with
federal, state, and university policies.
Located about 30 miles south of Albuquerque in rural Valencia County, The
University of New Mexico-Valencia Campus is a two-year branch campus of The
University of New Mexico which functions as a community college in the region
and is designated a Hispanic Serving Institution. With an emphasis on
teaching excellence, Valencia Campus offers academic transfer programs,
technical programs, Adult Education, and Dual Credit courses to high schools in
Valencia and Socorro Counties. The faculty and staff serve a student body
