The University of New Mexico’s School of Medicine (SOM) invites applications for a Faculty Affairs & Services Consultant to join the Office of Faculty Affairs and Career Development (OFACD). We are seeking a highly motivated, team-oriented, organized, and customer service-driven professional with strong attention to detail to support and enhance faculty operations and success at the School of Medicine.
Position Summary
Under general supervision, the Faculty Affairs & Services Consultant provides counsel, advice, and support to faculty, staff, administrators, and leadership within the Health Sciences Center (HSC) and SOM. This position is responsible for interpreting and advising on UNM and HSC policies, procedures, and best practices across all areas of faculty affairs.
Key Responsibilities:
This position serves as a subject matter expert on faculty HR matters, ensuring compliance, responding to inquiries, and communicating updates to policies and procedures.

Bachelor's degree; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
