Under the close mentorship of professional staff, the University of New Mexico Information Technologies (IT) is seeking a motivated, team-oriented, individual to join the IT Business Operations team as a Professional Intern. This position will provide entry level professional services to include support of day to day operating activities, basic accounting functions, budgeting, procurement and accounts payable activities, inventory management, and completion of assigned projects. This individual will also be involved in the development and implementation of internal processes and procedures, and will provide daily business operations support to IT Software Distribution. This position involves a high degree of interaction with staff at all levels of the organization, which requires strong communication and excellent customer service skills. Additionally, candidates must possess the ability to work independently when necessary, have the knowledge and ability to develop processes, strong Microsoft Excel skills, and great attention to detail.

Must have obtained a Bachelor's or higher level degree no more than 24 months prior to the date of hire OR if the Bachelor's (or higher level) degree was obtained more than 24 months prior to the date of hire, the individual must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's (or higher level) degree program; no previous work experience required.
