UNM Neurology is known for its cutting-edge research. Our research programs contribute to groundbreaking discoveries in neurology. We have major research funding for stroke, multiple sclerosis, vascular cognitive impairment, and Alzheimer’s disease. These research programs involve both the clinical and basic sciences.
The Neurology Research Team seeks a Patient Clinical Support Coordinator for our inpatient stroke research programs. The position requires experience coordinating acute clinical trials with diverse populations, including Hispanic and Native American communities. Additional experience includes: assisting with IRB submissions, patient recruitment and retention, and data collection and maintenance.

This position will be based at UNM Hospital and will be partly located at Domenici Hall on North Campus where our outpatient facility supports neurosciences research under the UNMHSC Brain and Behavioral Health Institute. The position will be primarily responsible for coordinating research studies in accordance with established study protocols and federal, local, and institutional policies and guidelines for clinical trials and includes research study management and monitoring.
This is a term position where the employment contract is renewed on an annual basis with satisfactory performance.
