The Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program at The University of New Mexico
(UNM) College of Pharmacy is a dynamic, student-centered professional program
dedicated to preparing future pharmacists to be innovative, compassionate, and
practice-ready leaders in healthcare. Located within the UNM Health Sciences
Center—the only academic health center in the state—our program provides
students with exceptional opportunities for interprofessional education,
clinical training, and research collaboration. Accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE),
the UNM PharmD curriculum emphasizes a strong foundation in biomedical and
pharmaceutical sciences, integrated with progressive pharmacy practice
experiences across urban and rural healthcare settings. Our diverse faculty are
nationally recognized educators, researchers, and practitioners committed to
student success and community engagement. Through unique clinical partnerships,
including the Indian Health Service, community pharmacies, and major health
systems, our students gain hands-on experience addressing health disparities
and improving outcomes for under served populations. The program fosters a supportive and inclusive environment where
students develop the knowledge, skills, and cultural competence necessary to
thrive in evolving pharmacy roles. Graduates of the UNM PharmD program are
equipped to lead change, advance pharmacy practice, and serve as essential
contributors to the health and well-being of New Mexico and beyond. In addition to the highly collegial and intellectually stimulating
