PLEASE NOTE: This position is for the UNM Gallup Branch, located in Gallup, NM, approximately 138 miles west of Albuquerque, NM.Funding available through 09/30/2026; continuance beyond that date is subject to the department's operational needs as outlined in APPM Policy #3200, Employee Classification. UNM-Gallup is looking for a highly motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as Caseworker within our Native American Student Success Center Department. The Caseworker is under general supervision, counsels and aids at-risk individuals and/or families requiring one or more forms of psychosocial services; interviews clients experiencing problems with personal and family adjustments, finances, employment, food, housing, physical and mental impairments, and/or similar areas; secures and evaluates applicable related information; refers clients to community resources and other organizations.
Caseworker will assist with daily operations by performing the following duties:

High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
