The University of New Mexico is seeking a dependable and motivated Facilities Services Tech to join our Facility Services team. In this essential role, you’ll perform a wide range of non-technical maintenance tasks across multiple trades to support the daily operations of our campus facilities. Key Responsibilities: As a Facilities Services Tech, you will: Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems. Assist licensed tradespeople with non-technical tasks and repairs. Replace light fixtures, switches, and outlets; clean and adjust HVAC components; and repair leaking fixtures and obstructed waste lines. Complete carpentry tasks such as drywall repair, painting, window replacement, and door hardware installation. Maintain and repair basic kitchen equipment and assist with water treatment systems. Perform general maintenance, custodial duties, and trash removal as needed. Document maintenance needs and work performed. Ensure proper care and maintenance of tools, equipment, and supplies. Promote safety and environmental best practices. Perform snow removal and other seasonal duties as required. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Please Note: Because this is a pooled position posting it may require you to work in the Health Sciences Center (HSC) area of UNM. This means you will be working in medical laboratory research, medical clinical, and medical academic spaces. These HSC environments may require the donning of medically approved personal protective equipment (PPE). Additionally, this position is subject to overtime and on-call assignments, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to support campus operations. Why Join Us?
