UNM’s Office of the Chief Information Officer (CIO) is seeking a self-motivated, customer-oriented, and diplomatic professional who is committed to continuous improvement. We are hiring an experienced Executive Assistant to oversee administrative operations and support strategic initiatives within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This pivotal role serves as the primary point of contact for operational and administrative matters, engaging internal and external stakeholders on complex and often highly sensitive issues. You will manage office functions, coordinate special projects and events, prepare communications and presentations, and ensure the smooth operation of executive-level support services. Regular interaction with Executive Vice Presidents, Deans, Vice Presidents, Directors, and/or their administrative support teams are an important part of this position. Working closely with the CIO and as part of the CIO’s Leadership Team, the ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver who thrives in both independent and collaborative work environments. Strong communication, project management, organizational, and customer service skills are essential for success in this role. High school diploma or GED; at least 2 years of experience managing at least one of the following functional areas: fiscal services, administration and/or human resources AND 3 years of additional experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
