Join the University of New Mexico as an Asst Athletics Facilities Director and play a vital role in creating unforgettable experiences across some of the most iconic athletic venues in the Southwest—including The Pit, University Stadium, and baseball, softball, tennis and track and field venues. This is your chance to be at the heart of game-day excitement, behind-the-scenes logistics, and campus-wide events that bring thousands together. What You’ll Do: As an Asst Athletics Facilities Director, you'll be instrumental in the planning, coordination, and management of all event operations across our athletic facilities. You'll ensure every game, meet, and special event runs smoothly and safely from start to finish. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and oversee sports venues for games and events (football, basketball, baseball, softball, tennis, track & field, and more).
- Coordinate staffing, including parking attendants, ushers, security personnel, and event staff.
- Manage facility schedules and respond to requests for venue use.
- Lead the setup and breakdown of events, overseeing grounds and support crews.
- Maintain event documentation, prepare invoices, and create post-event reports.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in planning meetings and operational sessions.
- Assist with annual budgeting and post-event financial settlements.
- Ensure safety and security standards are met as a Campus Security Authority (Clery Act).
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support a seamless event experience.
- Assist in coordinating staffing, including parking attendants, ushers, security personnel, and event staff.
- Event manager for baseball & volleyball events.
