The UNM School of Law is looking for an administrative assistant with excellent communication
and interpersonal skills for its Clinical Law Program.  The individual selected for this position will interact with a diverse community, answering busy telephone lines and greeting the public. Performs confidential client case file management using law office management software.   Shared responsibility for providing administrative assistance to Law Clinic faculty, law students and staff.  The Clinical Law Program Faculty train law students in basic lawyering skills through the representation of low-income
clients and community outreach.

  • This position is represented by a labor union and is subject to the terms and conditions of the USUNM Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • If this position is assigned to the Athletics Department, either administratively or functionally, compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations is required.
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications  
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Access)
     
Ability to speak, read and write Spanish
    
Ability to interact with a diverse community
    
Knowledge of legal terminology and processes
     
Knowledge of records management software
