Facilities Services Tech

Position Summary

The Facilities Services Tech, performs a wide range of facilities services tasks including non-technical maintenance of plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilating, and/or air conditioning facilities and equipment, at a level not requiring formal licensure.  May be required to perform tasks of other unlicensed trades, such as a light equipment operator, carpenter and/or, painter.

Must be able to work evenings and/or weekends and overtime as required.

  • Possession of a valid New Mexico driver's license is a requirement for this job.
  • This position is represented by a labor union and is subject to the terms and conditions of the CWA Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Successful candidate must submit to post-offer, pre-employment physical examination and medical history check.
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

High school diploma or GED; successful completion of PPD Trades Training Program and at least 6 months of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Preferred Qualifications

At least 6 months of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. 

Experience with: Maintaining an historic, multipurpose facility and working in a museum or art gallery environment.

Knowledge of plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems and custodial experience.

Additional Requirements 1) Must be able to work evenings and/or weekends and overtime as required. 2) Possession of a valid New Mexico driver's license is a requirement for this position. 3) Background check and physical are required prior to employment. 4) This position will require a pre-employment criminal background check. Future and/or continued employment in the position is contingent upon obtaining and maintaining a satisfactory background check, which is one that does not include any disqualifying findings.
