Position Summary

The Community Health Education program in the Department of Health, Exercise and Sports Sciences at UNM is seeking candidates for temporary, part-time faculty to teach undergraduate and graduate level Health Education Courses. This will be a continuous recruitment starting in the spring 2020 semester. The posting will remain open and applicants will be selected as needed per semester.  Candidates should indicate which courses are of interest which include but not limited to: Personal Health Management,  Emotional Health, Stress Management, Violence Prevention, Program Planning, Program Management, Program Evaluation, Epidemiology, Supervision of Field Experience, Health Behavior and Multicultural Health Education.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Health Education or directly related field 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PhD, ABD, or EdD in Health Education or directly related field 
  • Potential to teach online or certification or experience in online teaching 
  • Potential to teach or demonstrated ability to teach at the college level 
  • A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities
