Position Summary

The University of New Mexico, Health Sciences Center, Department of Internal Medicine, seeks faculty members to join the Division of Geriatrics.  This position is an Assistant Professor rank and Open Track.  Salary and rank will be commensurate with experience and education. 

This position may be subject to a criminal records screening in accordance with New Mexico law.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have an MD or DO degree or equivalent;
  • Training in diseases of older adults, including dementia;
  • Eligible for licensure in New Mexico; and
  • Must be eligible to work in US.  

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Clinical expertise in ADRC-focused or related science; 
  • Track record of peer-reviewed funding;
  • Track record of funding of pharmaceutical studies;
  • Experience in an academic setting;
  • Demonstrated research expertise; 
  • A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities.
