Data Analyst

Position Summary

This position is part of the College of Education and Human Sciences (COEHS) Data Team which is the only college-level entity that exists to address internal COEHS needs, planning and reporting as well as to comply with university, state, federal, grant, and accreditation requirements.  The Data Analyst will support the collection, interpretation, synthetization, preparation, and presentation of data.  

 This is considered an entry-level position with potential to grow with demonstrated proficiency within the specific academic setting of higher education data analysis and reporting.  Specific duties will include but are not limited to:  providing support to all aspects of data collection in the COEHS and utilizing existing systems such as MyReports and Tk20; collecting and analyzing data related to reporting requirements for the COEHS; synthesizing and summarizing data within reports and presentations as needed for COEHS faculty and leadership as well as outside entities; and, organizing, maintaining, and tracking of needed data.

Conditions of Employment
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of educational outcome assessment collection.
  • Knowledge of state education licensing and CAEP accreditation requirements.
  • Knowledge of technical and statistical programs used for data collection and/or analysis of data including but not limited to Excel, Tableau, SPSS, SAS, and Education Assessment Software.
  • Ability to understand and utilize data within multiple contexts.
  • Ability to provide high quality professional writing and reports.
