Position Summary The Office for Community Health (OCH) has been awarded a grant from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation (WKKF) to implement a Family-Centered Social Determinant Program to improve health outcomes for New Mexicans by addressing adverse social determinants of health and increasing access to public benefits for eligible children and families utilizing a statewide network of community health workers.  Through this project we will demonstrate feasibility and replicability of a social needs navigation and empowerment model adapted from our Pathways work in Bernalillo County and integrated with our innovative Health Extension Regional Offices (HERO) approach. Community Health Worker Initiatives (CHWI) will connect with community members while HEROs engage with key stakeholders at each site. The selected sites reflect our commitment to racial equity: Bernalillo (International District), Doña Ana, Lea, McKinley, and San Juan Counties.

The Office for Community Health (OCH) is seeking to hire a part-time self-motivated professional with excellent organizational and program development skills. This individual will serve as Program Coordinator supporting the OCH /W.K. Kellogg Project team leaders on the day to day operations and working closely with the HEROs and CHWIs.     

As a successful Program Coordinator, you will play an active and integral role in advancing the project efforts in close coordination with OCH/Kellogg team members. 

The duties of the Program Coordinator's include, but not be limited to the following: 

1.  Participates in meetings with OCH/ W.K. Kellogg team members (HEROs, Implementation Team, etc.,) to ensure program objectives are on target and deliverables are being monitored.
2.  Performs clerical and administrative tasks, including taking meeting notes.
3.  Plans, coordinates and schedules meetings and events.
4.  Prepares and designs routine graphic material and PowerPoint presentations.
5.  Maintains Gantt Chart that tracks project activities and deadlines.

Conditions of Employment
  • If this position is assigned to the Athletics Department, either administratively or functionally, compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations is required.
  • Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the University's influenza vaccination requirement.
  • All regular, non-temporary positions assigned to this classification are represented by a labor union and subject to the terms and conditions of the US-UNM Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

 Preferred Qualifications:
1.  Experience working with Banner, Chrome River, and Lobo Mart.
2.  Experience with P-card transactions.
3.  Experience maintaining calendars and participant data.
4.  Proficient experience with MS Excel spreadsheets and data maintenance
5.  Experience coordinating events and meetings
