Position Summary

The Division of Physical Therapy at the Health Sciences Center School of Medicine Campus has a temporary part time adjunct faculty position for hire to be the course instructor of record for PT660 Health, Wellness, and Fitness.  Duties include course content creation and dissemination, grading, collaborating with full time faculty to promote evidence based learning experiences, and maintaining a high quality educational experience for UNM DPT students.

The class then meets 8 hours per week: Mondays and Fridays from 1 pm to 5 pm starting August 21st and running till October 11th, 2023.  Teaching Period:  2 month contract x 8 hours per week


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Physical Therapy degree;
  • 5 years' experience in an outpatient orthopaedic physical therapy setting
  • Board Certified Specialist in Sports Physical Therapy;
  • Current or eligible NM PT license;
  • Eligible to work in the U.S.  

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years' experience in an outpatient orthopaedic physical therapy setting’
  •  Evidence of continuing education in sports and/or orthopaedic physical therapy;
  • Additional physical therapy board specialization;
  • ABPTRFE accredited residency graduate,
  • Prior experience as an instructor in a DPT program,
  • Advanced degree (post professional DPT or PhD)
