MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Master’s degree in Music, Music Education, Education, Arts Administration, or related field required by August 2024. 2. Minimum three years of elementary, middle school and/or high school music teaching experience or commensurate educational experience in a community arts organization PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Doctorate in Music, Music Education, Education, Arts Administration, or related field. 2. Two or more years university-level teaching experience in the capacity of graduate assistant or above. 3. High-level expertise (pedagogical knowledge, musicianship, and scholarship) in music education. 4. A demonstrated background in employee and/or volunteer administration and/or management of a community arts organization. 5. Five or more years of elementary, middle and/or high school music teaching experience or commensurate educational experience in a community arts organization. 6. Strong oral and written communication, organizational and administrative skills. 7. Vision to create and ability to execute recruiting initiatives. 8. Creative specialization in one or more of the following areas: community music programs, string pedagogy, elementary music, assessment, psychology, differentiation and exceptional learners, technology, vernacular music, mariachi, or creativity. 9. A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student access, as well as working with broadly diverse communities. 10. Continued commitment to scholarship and a vision for future creative work. 11. Demonstrated experience in grant application writing and/or securing donor or other funding |
