The Research Engineer 2 will play an integral part of the COSMIAC organization and will coordinate the work of the engineering team ensuring that all science requirements are met by hardware and payload design. The candidate provides Mechanical engineering technical support for research on spaceflight missions for grants awarded to principal investigator. Individual will collect, develop, analyze, communicate, and consult on a wide range of space-based data and other requirements. He will perform applied research, design and execute a wide-ranging analytical and statistical studies. Provides functional leadership, training, and guidance to other researchers, as appropriate.

Bachelor's degree in a directly related field; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
