Position Summary

The College of Nursing at UNM Health Sciences Center is seeking an Admissions Associate to join the Admissions and Recruitment team where you will provide advisement to prospective students regarding application and admission requirements, support and participate in recruitment activities and events, and the admissions process for all College of Nursing academic programs. This is a fast-paced environment, which provides excellent professional advisement to a diverse prospective student population.

In this role, you will be evaluating documents for entry to the College of Nursing, assisting with admissions process and working with internal and external constituencies, this individual may be assigned a program to support the evolving admission and recruitment goals of the college. The Admissions Associate assists prospective students on admission requirements and options, transfers, and related issues.

The Admissions Associate will assist with reviewing and processing student applications and accounting for all required documentation needed for admissions status. Monitors progress of applicants. Triage and respond to communications directed to Office of Admissions and Recruitment.

Conditions of Employment
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Experience in/with: 

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as demonstrated in Resume and Cover Letter
  • Working in a post-secondary institution  
  • Working with underserved and/or diverse communities
